An unidentified man was found dead in Soshanguve extension 14 on Tuesday morning, police have said.
“Members of the Ga-Rankuwa SAPS received a complaint of a body that was thought to have been killed in the bushes at Extention 14, in Soshanguve,” said Nkoadi.

He said police swiftly rushed to the scene and recovered the body of the middle-aged man, found face down in a ditch with running water due to the recent rains.
“Preliminary investigations suggest that the man could have been electrocuted as live wires of electricity were still lying around his body,” said Nkoadi.
The incident is assumed to have taken place some time ago since the body was partially decomposed.
“The deceased was wearing a green t-shirt, black jeans and black shoes,” he said.
An inquest has been registered and presently under investigation.
The police are appealing to members of the community to refrain from engaging in illegal electricity connections as this is not the first incident to happen in this area recently.
“However it cannot be confirmed as the actual cause of death will be proven by the Forensic Pathology,” he said.
