Vehicle stolen in Sosh, recovered enroute to Soweto

The owner said his car was stolen by the two men in Soshanguve.

A car reported stolen in Soshanguve has been recovered on its way to Soweto.

The Toyota Conquest “was parked in my backyard in Soshanguve on Thursday when two gunmen took it.

“It had a tracking system, and the car was later found by the SAPS K9 unit,” said the man who wished to remain anonymous.

The police said they followed the car to the Soweto Highway where it was cornered around 16:00.

“Members of Soshanguve #K9Unit arrested two suspects for possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle,” said the police.

They said they were investigating to see if the suspects were linked to the recent spate of hijackings and car thefts in Soshanguve.
