UPDATE: Hammanskraal three laid to rest

Three children from Ramotse village in Hammanskraal, aged 12, four and three burned to death in a car.

A Hammanskraal woman last Saturday bid a sad farewell to her three children burned to death by her “boyfriend”.

Bogosi Musana (12), Omphile Musana (4) and Obakeng Musana (3) were laid to rest in Ramotse in a sombre ceremony.

The three boys went missing on 31 December after allegedly being taken by their mother’s boyfriend,  according to Temba police spokesperson, Constable Herman Moremi.

He allegedly told her she was seeing them “for the last time”.

“A case of kidnapping was opened against the boyfriend on 1 January by the mother of the children,” he said.

Moremi told Record that the remains of the children were found by a passerby at Bosplaas West, near Temba.

Their bodies were burned beyond recognition.

“The person was observing a burnt car near a bush and noticed there were corpses inside,” said Moremi.

Family spokesperson, Phillip Mosana, said the family had accepted the incident.

“We thank the community for the support they had given us,” said Mosana.

An emotional Marokolong Primary School principal, Rahab Madumo, said Bogosi was a well-behaved boy who had respect for others.

“He was a very quiet child with a good academic record. He took part in music and was very committed to his school work,” he said.

Neighbour Maggie Motshwene said: “I knew Bogosi more than the other two … he was a respectful child.”
