Classes at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Soshanguve campuses resumed on Monday following a shutdown, the university has confirmed.

TUT Soshanguve shut down two weeks ago after students complained about a lack of accommodation for first-year students during renovations.

“The matter was resolved on Thursday and we expect all classes to resume today,” said TUT spokesperson Willa de Ruyter in a statement.

“Following consultations with the Soshanguve campus SRC, it was agreed that the north and south campuses will open. All staff should please report for duty.”
