West Pack Lifestyle has donated R25 000 to a Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, charity.
Pretoria Lifeline was listed as charity of choice by the Kollonade shopping centre-based shop’s competition winner Manzana Mokoena.
The competition format was that the retail chain would match the winnings and donate that to a charity of the winner’s choice.
West Pack Lifestyle MD Chris (Jnr) da Silva said the competition provided customers a chance to win cash “to spend on the things they really need but also give to their favourite charity”.
Pretoria Lifeline director Sonya Rayne said: “On behalf of Lifeline Pretoria, I would like to thank West Pack Lifestyle for the wonderful contribution.”

She said Lifeline Pretoria started as a free telephonic counselling service but was extended to provide face-to-face trauma counselling and counselling training.
“It also provides adolescent life skills training aimed at empowering the youth,” she said.
It has offices in Val de Grace, Queenswood, Mamelodi and Soshanguve, and a dedicated rape counselling team available via a 24-hour crisis line.
West Pack Lifestyle winners shared a prize pool of R500 000 in cash and an equal amount was donated to various charities.
The popular charities were the cancer-related ones, children and animals – Impilo Child Protection & Adoption Services, Barking Mad Dogtown, Choc Childhood Cancer Foundation SA and Have A Heart Care Centre for the Elderly.
