Repair work is underway to restore water in the north of Pretoria.

DA ward councillor, Lenise Breytenbach said water outages have been reported all over ward 50.

Sinoville was the area which were most affected.

She said the reason for this was a combination of two issues.

“We suspect there may have been a case of sabotage at our reservoir,” she said.

She added the old water network system was a contributing factor.

“I have reported the suspected vandalism to all the important role players in the metro,” she said.

Breytenbach said a case was also opened at the police.
