Last Monday, another woman’s body was found by an unknown person around 14:00 in the bushes next to the Temba dam, Hammanskraal, and the police were immediately alerted.

The woman had injuries to her head and upper body.

The police said the decomposed body was tied at the feet, the woman’s handbag was found next to her body and a notepad in the vicinity.

Information gleaned from the notepad suggested it also belonged to the murdered woman.

The 22-year-old had been reported missing a week before after he failed to return home from transporting workers to a nearby milling company.

“Followed up on a tip-off, the police recovered the body in the bushes. It had serious injuries on the upper body. His feet and arms were tied with a cable.”

A fortnight ago, a body of an unknown woman believed to be in her 20’s was found in Suurman, Hammanskraal .

She had been dumped naked on the side of the road and with multiple stab wounds, said Lesabane.

“There were some car tyre markings next to the body, an indication that the person or people who dumped her were in a car,” said Lesabane.

Police were alerted to the discovery by a passersby.

Lesabane said a post-mortem would reveal if the woman had been sexually assaulted or raped.

The police have appealed to anyone with information that can help their investigations to contact Temba SAPS on 012-717-9000.
