City spokesperson Lindela Mashigo said the water shutdown is scheduled from 08:00-16:00 to install new water valves and replace any other worn-out network components.

“Residents in these areas are urged to store enough water for household use during this period. A limited number of roaming water tankers have been arranged to supply residents with water,” he said.

He further said the maintenance work is expected to improve water supply in the area.

“The city of Tshwane apologises for any inconvenience that might arise as a result of this upkeep,” he said.
