Tshwane metro launches investor portal

A dedicated investor portal will be officially available on 1 July, the Tshwane metro has announce.

The aim is to facilitate interaction between the city and the investor/business community, using the latest information and communication technology.

Potential foreign and local investors will be able to complete and submit investment applications electronically via the e-Tshwane portal.

The investor portal will also enable potential investors to submit innovative investment proposals, request investment-specific information, and escalate service delivery issues.

The metro said it was also in the process of rolling out its investor/business Aftercare Services programme.

The objective of this programme is to retain and expand existing businesses in order to generate and revitalise the city’s economy, proliferate employment opportunities, stimulate investment and ensure the highest levels of investor satisfaction.

“Apart from centralising all investment and development applications, the implementation of the city’s investor portal will enable the city to engage with potential foreign and local investors in an electronic manner using the city’s successful e-Tshwane platform,” said Mayor Solly Msimanga.

It achieves one of the new administration’s 10 manifesto promises, namely “one electronic portal and dedicated support for investors and developer”.

The city is modernising its approach to attracting investment, said Msimanga, who has voiced his goal to attract R10.8 billion in investment.

“Tshwane is indeed open for business,” he said.
