A man from Western Australia had to surgically remove a tropical spider after it borrowed into his torso through a scar in his belly button from a recent surgery. Dylan Thomas, the victim, was in Indonesia when the tropic spider picked him as its host. It lived inside him for three days.
According to reports, doctors initially thought the inflamed scar was a reaction from an insect bite, but after further tests, it was discovered that the ‘scar’ was in actual fact a trail left by the tropic spider under Thomas’s skin. The spider was surgically removed and Thomas has been dubbed Spiderman by his friends.
